September Side Hustle

use sept

I started using Ebay as a way to make additional income and clear out my closet,  I don’t know why it has taken me this long to get on board but I’m glad I did! Using Ebay has helped me add additional income to help out with bills and gas money. Even better are the new adventures it has unlocked for me, I enjoy organizing my closet, taking inventory and shipping out the items. I started using the service last month and I have found myself spending more time in the Thrift Store as well, donating items from my closet and finding new ones to sell. If you are looking for a new way to add money to your wallet try using Ebay or a similar service. Ebay is what I am currently using and I like the level of security it provides, I would like to try out other sites too please comment any you use below!

Creativity Can

IMG_0252 (1)

This summer I was introduced to the Creativity Can, they are cool activities conveniently packed into a can, I love using them at work and having some around the house for downtime activities whenever I babysit.

Each Can has a different theme and comes with a specific number of pieces ( any where from 30-100), the possibilities are endless for kids, but each can does include instructions. This is a great way to re-direct children’s attention and get them to focus and reduce anxiety. I purchased this Art Creativity Can from the Cleveland Museum of Art, to see all the cans that are available check out their website here!

Bamboo Charcoal Foot Inserts

I spend a lot of time on my feet and I sweat a lot! I used to swear  by foot powders, but I hate the effects it has in my socks, carpet and insides of shoes. I came across Bamboo Charcoal Foot Inserts and I have been in love ever since. After coming home I take my shoes off and insert the foot pads to help remove odors. These $10 pads are reusable can be recharged by placing them in the sun.

Summer SkinCare Fun

IMG_9777

Summer is one of my favorite seasons! I enjoy the time I get to spend with my family and friends and all the cool things we get to do around Cleveland. While I enjoy being out and about I also take time to make sure I am taking care of my skin. To keep my skin clear and blemish free I rely on a few products to keep my skin happy.

Pictured above are my favorite things right now;

  1. Aveeno Clear Complexion helps remove any traces of makeup left on my face, I use this daily and love that it is oil-free and non-drying so far this is the only product that helps my sensitive skin.
  2. Shea Moisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask, once a week I like to apply a facial mask, my favorite at the moment is this mud mask which smells amazing and helps brighten my skin and also contains Tea Tree Oil which helps fade scars and treat acne. The best part? I only paid $2 for this pack and I got multiple uses out of it. To keep the pack from drying out after you open it store it in a plastic baggie.
  3. See that weird looking Pink thing in the picture above, that’s my favorite Silicone Facial Cleaning Brush. I purchased this off Amazon,  it comes with a case to store it in as well as a USB charger once the battery drains, what I love is that I have had it for 2 months now and I have yet to charge it! this is what I use to really work my Aveeno Cleanser into my skin and it has multiple speeds for you to choose from. It fits perfectly in my hands and is easy to clean. I spent less than $20 for this and love how smooth my skin feels after I use it.
  4. DermaRoller– I use a dermaroller every week or 2 weeks to help rejuvenate my skin,  and reduce the dark circles under my eyes. At first I was scared to use a DermaRoller but after watching  countless YouTube videos on how to properly roll my face and seeing the benefits I am happy with my purchase.

If you are looking for some new products to add to your skincare routine give these a try everything is under $20, let me know how they worked for you!

Shower Cleaning Hack

bath-1937412_960_720

A cool trick I learned when I moved in my first apartment was to use shower gel when I showered, instead of bar soap because bar soap contains fat you’re more likely to get a ring around the tub! Whenever I’m not in the mood to clean the tub after I always use shower gel. I recommend buying all natural ones like Dr. Bronners or Aveeno Daily Moisturizer Body Wash.
